Yes, they will give out an unlock code to any contract customer in the UK who requests one, free of charge. Note contract customer, ie, monthly contract not PAYG. Apparently, Vodafone UK no longer locks phones to their network.
@Whatleydude: great post, I totally agree that almost any company that offers anything in the way f a public product or service needs evangelists.
That person that responded with a seesmic comment made my day. I really like that use of voice to give voice to the comment. Now to do that whenever I get a mobile with a video cam, because that makes too much sense :)
